5 Mistakes You Should Avoid When Taking Small Steps
We all have dreamed big sometime in our life, at least during our childhood. When I was a little kid, elementary school teachers liked to ask us, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Not surprisingly — our class was a gathering of future artists, policemen, engineers, and scientists. Is there probably a similar clip in your memory too? Probably.
However, only a small portion realize our initial dreams after we reach adulthood, and the majority are still looking for success advice. The most prevalent advice circulating the internet is to take small steps to realize your big dreams.
This notorious advice is undoubtedly useful. After all, it’s exactly like that someone is telling you that the biggest secret to complete a marathon is to take 55,374 steps for men and 62,926 steps for women (source: here).
Unfortunately, this advice is also useless, as you may have already realized. We all have different dreams with distinct family situations, financial status, time availability, and other complicating factors. The likelihood of attaining success by taking small steps without considering these essential personal factors is near zero.
