Thanks a lot for reading this article and welcome to the Python world.

I agree with you that some difficult topics require lengthy articles, but how we define a difficult topic can be relatively subjective. It’s easy to you but not necessarily to others. Actually this article is not necessarily for fresh novices, because it talks about some mistakes that some experienced programmers can make after some time of programming, such that they can relate this article to themselves.

Nevertheless, we can step back and look at how we learn a programming language or anything else in general. Learning can be mostly about repetition. Easy or difficult aside, it’s the repetition that burns something to your brain that helps you understand the knowledge eventually.

I’m glad that you did learn a little from this article. You learn a little here, and learn a little there. Put them all together, you’ll pick it up soon. BTW: one key to learning a programming language is to actually write a lot of code.
